Ernie Ball is proud to introduce the John Petrucci Signature Guitar to its line up of Music Man Guitars, January at the NAMM 2001 music show.The colaboration beetween John Petruci and Ernie Ball produce a unique guitar with great style. The guitar is extremely versatile for any playing style, especially with the addition of a piezo bridge available on particular models, as a wide variety of tones can be achieved with different magnetic and piezo combinations. The guitar made from a basswood body with 5-bolt mounting to it, a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, sculpted neck joint, 24 wide high-profile frets, and a matching painted headstock. Schaller locking tuners and custom John Petrucci tremolo complete the hardware. The 2 Custom DiMarzio humbucking pickups were specially designed for Petrucci. The 3-way selector has a custom center-position configuration.The fretboard will feature custom inlays, with a "JP" inside a shield just above the first fret. All Petrucci Signature Guitars will have newly designed Music Man bridges and saddles, and will come with a tremolo. The Signature Guitar stands out from other guitars with a new and unique contoured "cradle" in the upper body.
